WSD ABAMECTIN PLUS SELENIUM BROAD SPECTRUM ANTIPARASITIC
DRENCH FOR SHEEP AND LAMBS
Contains Abamectin, a member of the Avermectin family of drenches and also contains selenium
which is an aid in control and treatment of selenium deciency in sheep and lambs. It is effective
against Abamectin sensitive strains of the following adult and immature internal parasites of sheep.
Adult and immature gastrointestinal roundworms:
Haemonchus contortus Barber’s pole worm (including inhibited L4 stage)
Haemonchus placei Large stomach worm
Ostertagia circumcincta Small brown stomach worm (including inhibited L4 stage)
Trichostrongylus axei Stomach hair worm
Trichostrongylus colubriformis,
Trichostrongylus vitrinus Black scour worm
Cooperia curticei,
Cooperia oncophora Thin necked intestinal worm
Nematodirus filicollis
Chabertia ovina Large mouthed bowel worm
Oesophagostomum columbianum Nodule worm
Oesophagostomum venulosum Large bowel worm
Trichuris ovis Whipworm
Strongyloides papillosus Intestinal threadworm
Also treats and controls:
Dictyocaulus filaria Large lungworm
Oestrus ovis Nasal Bot

Reistance may develop to any drench. Ask your local veterinary practitioner or animal health adviser
for recommended parasite management practices for your local area to reduce development of
resistance. It is advisable that a drench resistance test be conducted before any drench is used.

DO NOT USE in Dairy breeds of sheep.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
This product is contraindicated for usein sheep when selenium intake from pasture is high or selenium
is provided by other means (such as pasture top dressing, vaccine, pellets or selenium drenches) if
blood levels at treatment exceed 2000nmol/L. Users can determine selenium status by consulting their
veterinarian.
PRECAUTIONS
Selenium can have toxic effects, particularly in sheep with liver damage that graze in areas where
plants that contain pyrrolizidine alkaloids are prevalent.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
WSD ABAMECTIN PLUS SELENIUM BROAD SPECTRUM ANTIPARASITIC DRENCH FOR SHEEP
AND LAMBS dose rate is 1mL/4 kg body weight
Animals in excess of 80 kg to be dosed at 1ml per 4kg. A representative sample of animals should be
weighed before treatment. Dose the mob to the heaviest animal by liveweight in each group (ewe,
whether, rams, lambs). Do not underdose. Where there is a large variation in size within the group,
dose rate should be based on the label directions for each weight range. Drafting into two or more lines
may be appropriate, to avoid excessive overdosing.
WITHHOLDING PERIODS
MEAT: DO NOT USE less than (14) days before slaughter for human consumption.
MILK: DO NOT USE in dairy breeds of sheep.
TRADE ADVICE: EXPORT SLAUGHTER INTERVAL (ESI)
Export Slaughter Interval (ESI) : Do not slaughter for export for 28 days after treatment. The ESI on this
label was correct at the time of label approval. Before using this product, conrm the current ESI from
